Didn't even make it through the first one! Very simplistic writing, which can be okay as long as the story is good. And doesn't stretch to the totally unbelievable & silly-like having no clue about the time period. The lady is the daughter of a wealthy tradesman, who of course, wants her to marry a duke, no matter how much he drinks and gambles. She of course meets someone else (a Baron-not high enough) and falls in love. The night she is to elope with him, she's trying to pack: "the problem was packing her own clothes. Amelia had no access to her own clothes, so packing for the journey was proving difficult". ??? What? A rich girl doesn't have access to her own clothes? That's what did it for me. This seems like a good deal, but save yourself a buck & pass.Product details

I couldn't get past the first 3 pages even though I really hoped it would get better further along. Skipped a couple of chapters and it was the same.
Each of the stories were well written & interesting, some had humor but mostly I loved the characters. The characters came to life in different venues and made you feel like uou were in there presence.
A nice set of Regency stories. If you like clean stories you will like these. Even though they are shorter than a full book they are long enough to tell the story. I like Kitty St. John's books and will be reading more of her work in the future.
These are extremely well written and best of all, suitable for sharing with my tweenage granddaughter. We laughed and commiserated with the heroines and talked about possible means of redemption for the villain in each delightful tale. Please keep these wonderful stories coming!
All very sweet, and clean and very short good for a relaxing day with nothing to do but eat ice cream and read
It would be impossible for me to review all 15 books here, so let me just say that I enjoyed reading every one, followed by a few comments.
Several of the stories have a bit of mystery or intrigue, such as duels, murder plots, etc.
"The Hidden Duke" is a good story, but I thought the presentation was rather adolescent. A similar plot is used in another story with better results.
My favorite story is "The Erin Duke." Thank you, Kitty St. John. That one was for me.
The final two stories are well-written and almost error-free. So I'm left with the question If Joseph is the eldest son of an earl and thus the heir, why is he joining the army?

If your looking for innocent sweet love then these are the books for you. I love historical romance and these stories take you back to the time where there was honor, gentlemen, ladies, class, status, innocence and of course some evil. Where does that not exist (evil that it)? A must read...
